REVIEWS:
"The band discharge searing riffs that channel both fury and despair, as well as relentlessly cauterizing screams whose sounds of shattering torment send shivers down the spine." - No Clean Singing:

"They have really made an incredible album which shows that by having songwriting-skills, vision and the willingness to push towards widening the boundaries of a genre, one is in the Post-something soundscape - on this release in Post Black Metal with an album worthy of appearing on many AOTY lists at the end of the year that has just begun." - Veil of Sound:

"An interesting OAR debut with "The Blood You Crave" by showing long songs transmitting the cold and desolate essence of black metal." - Metallerium:

"Between blackness and melancholy, Oar offers a part of raw splendour. The Blood You Crave draws as much its strength from the band’s Old School influences as from soaring riffs, threatening screams and its worrying ambience, which makes it immediately hooking." - Acta Infernalis:

"The Blood You Crave" sucks the darkest blood from the heart of black metal with its caustic, abrasive vocals and dissonant chord progressions, and then bludgeons it into the deliberate, weighty slowness of doom, as well as the misery of sludge metal." - Cvlt Legion:
